​The Milwood Kitchen Remodel is the first full residential kitchen remodel for DSM Woodwork. DSM Woodwork is a carpentry design company focusing on custom cabinetry, built-ins, and small remodels in the greater Kalamazoo area. This project involved the removal of preexisting cabinetry, countertops, flooring, bulkheads, and plaster ceiling and saw the introduction of all new fixtures, cabinetry, counters, and flooring.

Come along a walkthrough of our recently completed install in Rochester Hills, MI. We installed shop built and finished custom cabinets for the family room, removed French doors to the dining room and replaced the jamb and casing with new prefinished material (sprayed in our spray booth), and installed a wainscoting trim package that will be finished by the homeowners.

Cabinet and trim paint color is BM Chantilly Lace.

​Note: the family room carpet was repaired by a local carpet installer the day after we finished our work.

Come along a walkthrough of our recently completed custom pantry build in Richland, MI. The pantry features custom cabinetry (BM Scuff-X semi-gloss in base white) and maple butcher block counter tops finished with Repcolite Mirathane WB semi-gloss. Perhaps our favorite component of the build was the vented root vegetable drawers containing gold-colored decorative aluminum plating and soft-close drawer slides. 

Laundry room remodel in Macomb Township, MI featuring custom cabinetry and cherry hardwood bench top. Paint was BM Scuff-X semi-gloss in base white. Cherry hardwood bench top was finished with natural danish oil and Repcolite Mirathane WB semi-gloss.

During the summer, we fabricated and installed custom niche floating shelves, an above-the-toilet cabinet, and a bathroom vanity for a home near downtown Nashville, MI. Paint was BM Scuff-X satin in Raccoon Fur.

​This home office makeover in the Texas Township / Mattawan area features custom lower cabinets and upper bookcases plus a “panel” wall bridging the cabinets.

This project involved a laundry room makeover in Texas Township, MI. Features included custom cabinetry, bench, and wood top on the washer and dryer for folding.
